Helene Weber · South Congress, Austin · Oct 9

When the bats began to pour out, the whole bridge went silent for about three minutes. Then somebody said, wow, and everyone laughed. A man next to me murmured, never gets old. I did not ask how many times he had seen it. The bats took forty minutes to finish. I do not know how many bats. I know it was a great number.
