Planning a casual birthday gathering for a group with some dietary restrictions in Atlanta. Ideally we'd like to find a place with good food options, including Mexican and vegan/gluten-free choices, and a large indoor space for mingling.

You could meet up in Piedmont, and Park Tavern might be a good option. There are also some excellent Mexican restaurants nearby, such as Desi Spice and La Hacienda. In midtown, Cyprus Pint and Plate is a decent choice, although it's mostly outdoor seating and you may need to call ahead to confirm availability. Unfortunately, I couldn't think of many brewery-style places in midtown.

Coan Park has a unique pagoda-style pavilion, located right on the border of Edgewood and Kirkwood. While it's not reservable, you can set up tables and enjoy the surroundings. The pavilion is within a two- to three-block radius of El Tesoro, PureQuill Superette, and several other local businesses, including Jolene Jolene, Bob and Harriet's, and Dulce Vegan, which are all located on Hosea Williams.

The Works is a great venue. If the weather permits, you can enjoy the outdoor space and grab food from the various vendors in the food hall. Alternatively, if it rains, you can head to Scofflaw's large brewery for a celebration.

The Works in west midtown is a massive food hall with an incredible variety of food, drinks, and sweets from around the world. You can find everything from traditional comfort food to vegan and international cuisine.
