Warsaw Intensifies Enforcement on Scooter Parking with New Patrols
Warsaw has taken a firm stance against improperly parked electric scooters by launching special joint patrols involving municipal police and the roads authority. These patrols aim to ensure that scooters are parked in accordance with newly introduced rules and agreements with rental firms.

According to the city’s mayor, Rafał Trzaskowski, over 140 scooters have already been towed away in the first few days of the new enforcement. The mayor emphasized, “There’s no place for scooters where they don’t belong,” highlighting the strict enforcement of rules and regulations.
The agreement with scooter operators Bolt, Dott, and Lime, signed in May, includes restrictions on maximum speed and areas where scooters are prohibited. It also addresses the issue of illegal parking, with penalties for those who violate the rules.
For expats and digital nomads in Warsaw, this means that parking electric scooters responsibly is now more crucial than ever. Expect increased patrols and potential fines for improper parking. If you use electric scooters, make sure to follow the designated areas and rules to avoid any issues.
