The Weekend Is Back in Ubud: Kuta’s Got Talent, and So Does the High Seas
So, last week things were kind of relaxed. I just checked the footy, and my team continues in the fight. They are on again for the big dance this Saturday. I would say that’s where you are gonna find me from midday Saturday.

This weekend, it’s all about Kuta and the high seas, folks. Kuta, the once-dull stretch of sand, has come alive with major shows and events. The Zumana Grand Opening Weekend headlined by The Martinez Brothers on Friday and Satori on Saturday should be a ginormous weekend at the Savaya Group’s latest venue overlooking Sunset Bay Kuta. Expect a full house and a great atmosphere.
On the other side of town, Waterbom Park is hosting a hip hop event with US DJ artists Nu Mark and Craze. It’s going to be an incredible afternoon/evening, surrounded by their exotic gardens and slides. If you’re early, you can even hit the water slides for a pre-party.
And for those who prefer a bit of a nautical twist, The Shivanna is embarking on an Oktober Fest cruise on Saturday afternoon. With DJs and plenty of beer on board, it’s sure to be a grand trip around the Benoa and Nusa Dua coast.
While Kuta is lively, Uluwatu is keeping things interesting with a full list of superstar DJs this weekend, including Stephan Bodzin and The Martinez Brothers. The Savaya venue continues to be a go-to spot for music lovers.
On Sunday, Mrs Sippy is kicking things off with the AFL footy Grand Final at lunchtime. They will present a class act, rising UK-based house and tech-house DJs, RSquared, who will take on the poolside stage and sands with their exciting sounds. Expect disco, funk, and tech-house, poolside from 6pm.
