Nintendo's First Store-in-a-Store in Canada: An Exciting New Experience for GTA Gamers
For years, Nintendo has been absent from dedicated stores in Canada, leaving fans to rely on online purchases. However, that's set to change with the opening of Nintendo's first 'store-within-a-store' in Canada, located within the EB Games flagship store on Yonge St. in Toronto.

According to Susan Pennefather, vice president and general manager of Nintendo of Canada, the choice of Toronto as the location is due to the city's strong gaming community and past successful events held at the EB Games store. The new 1,500 sq. ft. space offers a variety of Nintendo merchandise, including demo stations for the Nintendo Switch 2 and themed displays like a Mario statue.
The store opens amidst rising tech product prices and higher living costs, making it a trade-off for gamers: cheaper but further. However, the experience offers a unique chance for families to interact with Nintendo's iconic characters and games, something that's not always available in a regular retail environment.
As for the future, Pennefather remains optimistic, suggesting the store could evolve with new releases and events, but for now, it's a significant milestone in bringing Nintendo's engaging experiences closer to Canadian fans.
