Discover a Historic Bank Turned Restaurant in Toronto’s Queen West
Leuty’s, a new restaurant in Toronto’s Queen West neighbourhood, has opened its doors to diners, offering a unique dining experience inside a historic 1930s bank. Owner Gabby Martindale wanted to create a space that feels like a cozy neighbourhood spot, complete with a cocktail menu that nods to the area’s history.

The restaurant’s interior is a blend of modern and vintage elements, with rich wood, deep blues, and locally made furniture. The name Leuty’s was chosen to reflect the tight-knit community, drawing inspiration from the Leuty lifeguard stand near The Beach. The space is split into two levels, making it a versatile spot for various events and gatherings.
The cocktail menu features playful takes on classics, with names inspired by the building’s history. The food menu caters to everyone, with options like mushroom cavatelli, seared tuna, and steak. Martindale aims to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels like family.
Located at 1963 Queen Street East, Leuty’s offers a delightful mix of history and modernity, making it a must-visit for both locals and expats in Toronto.
