Since 2016, the Instituto Nacional de las Mujeres (INAMU) has been running the “Develando el Género” program in Nicoya, Costa Rica. This initiative focuses on empowering women economically through personal, business, and leadership development. Recently, 23 women concluded their training, marking a significant milestone in their entrepreneurial journey.

The graduation ceremony was held at Nicoya’s Casa de la Cultura, bringing together participants and representatives from various institutions. Since 2016, the program has addressed topics such as gender identity, business identity, economic rights, and decision-making autonomy. By challenging gender stereotypes, the program aims to support women’s business growth and economic independence.

These women share their newfound knowledge and progress in their ventures, highlighting the importance of these skills. The collaboration between local and national institutions ensures that the program continues to benefit women in Nicoya and beyond, fostering a supportive environment for female entrepreneurs.
