Puerto Morelos Celebrates Youth with Big Race and Tech Prize

Blanca Merari Tziu Muñoz, the mayor of Puerto Morelos, recently hosted a big race event called ‘Juventud Activa’ to celebrate the youth of the community. 60 participants took part in the race, which ran through the historic part of Puerto Morelos. The event, held on August 23, 2026, aimed to promote healthy growth through sports and community involvement. The mayor acknowledged the effort of the participants and highlighted the importance of sports in public policy.

• 60 atletas competed in categories like Kids, Adolescents, 3K, and 5K.
• 104 kits were sold, raising funds for technology for young people in Puerto Morelos.
