I'm looking for a new pair of progressive eyeglasses and want to know what to expect to pay at Pricesmart or a local optometrist.

I recently inquired about putting progressives in frames I already own at Óptica Vision and was quoted ₡300,000. Bifocals will likely be cheaper, and Pricesmart will probably be cheaper too, but I'm guessing not by much.

I've checked out the optical shop at Asembis and found them to be fairly reasonable. They often run specials and discounts, like free eye exams with a physician visit. If you're not in a specific area, there are multiple Asembis health centers in Costa Rica.
