After two years of remote work in Condesa, Mexico City, I've noticed the city's rich culinary traditions. The latest addition to its cultural heritage is particularly exciting: pan dulce has been recognized as a Patrimonio Cultural de la CDMX (Cultural Heritage of Mexico City).

According to Chilango, a local blog, this recognition comes with a free festival called ¡Prueba más de 300 panes! (Try more than 300 pastries!). The festival aims to showcase the incredible variety of sweet breads that have been a part of Mexico City’s tradition for over 150 years. The celebration will likely feature a wide array of flavors and styles, ensuring there’s something for everyone.
