Hurricane Polo's Path: What to Expect in Los Cabos
As a bike rental owner in Los Cabos, I’ve been closely monitoring the Category 5 Hurricane Polo, which is currently churning its way up the Pacific coast. The forecast shows that the closest approach to Cabo San Lucas will happen over the weekend, but the core track of the hurricane is expected to remain largely offshore. This means the highest risk of severe winds will be far from the popular resort communities.

While the direct local threat remains relatively low, staying safely offshore does not mean Cabo will completely escape the weather. The biggest changes you will see around the resort areas have everything to do with the ocean. Visitors should expect potential rough surf and extremely high waves, which will lead to the local port being completely closed and all water activities and ocean swimming being strictly prohibited. Additionally, heavy rainfall is highly likely to impact the coastal areas as the storm bands stretch outward from the center.

Take advantage of the indoor amenities and enjoy some quiet downtime in the resort.
