I'm planning a family trip to Mexico City for next April with my two children, one age 3 and the other 10 months. We're looking for a neighborhood that's close to sites of interest and has good sleep quality for the kids.

Roma and Condesa are popular neighborhoods with tourists, featuring charming streets and public spaces. Condesa boasts two central parks with playgrounds, while Roma has large plazas perfect for kids to run around. However, these areas are not ideal for sightseeing, as they are far from many major attractions. If you stay in the western part of Condesa or the northwest part of Roma Norte, you'll be close to the Bosque de Chapultepec and other notable sites.

P.S. Although babies generally aren't into art, the Big Three murals by Diego Rivera, Jose Clemente Orozco, and David Siqueirros are a must-see for kids. The best place to see them in one place is the Palacio de Bellas Artes, where they're in a courtyard after you pass through the main hall.

Polanco is a great option, but it's more expensive than some of the other neighborhoods.

April might not be the best time to visit Mexico City due to high pollution levels.

Due to the intense traffic in Mexico City, it's unlikely you'll be able to return to your accommodation for a nap. Staying in a neighborhood like Condesa or Roma and using portable white noise for your babies can be helpful in managing their sleep.
