New Direct Flights to Los Cabos: More Options for U.S. and Canadian Travelers
The skies over Los Cabos are set to get even busier with the addition of nine new nonstop flight routes in 2026, bypassing the usual crowded hubs. This move by major airlines reflects their confidence in the destination and the growing demand for direct access.
Starting off with the United States, Indianapolis (IND) gets its first direct flight from Southwest Airlines on March 5, 2026. This gives Midwestern travelers a convenient escape, while Washington, D.C. (IAD) sees a four-to-daily service from United Airlines beginning October 25. Meanwhile, Lansing (LAN) gets a winter charter flight from Apple Vacations and GlobalX, offering direct beach access to Michigan residents.
Canada is also getting in on the action, with Toronto (YYZ) launching a new route from Porter Airlines on November 16, 2026. This marks a significant expansion for Canadian tourists looking for longer stays and better access to the sun during winter.
The new routes are a huge win for expats and digital nomads like me, Jesus R, who drive the corridor route daily. If you're planning a beach getaway, there might just be a new direct flight waiting for you.
