Areas with a Soviet-era aesthetic in Warsaw?

I'm looking for areas in Warsaw with a Soviet-era aesthetic, similar to East Berlin, featuring wide roads, flat blocks, and Soviet city planning.

Maybe a former Soviet country would be a better fit for what you're looking for. Poland is proud of its unique history and architecture, and you won't find the same mosaics and brutalist style as in some Eastern European countries.

If you're looking for a place with a strong Soviet aesthetic, you might want to consider Belarus, which is often referred to as the most 'Soviet' country in the world.

Of course, Warsaw has areas that fit what you're looking for. The Marshal Residential District is a good example of 1950s Soviet-era architecture. You can also check out the articles on the Wikipedia page for Marshal Residential District and other websites that showcase Warsaw's Socrealist architecture.

I was wondering if areas like Brodno and Chodecka also have some of that aesthetic?

Bródno does have a lot of blocks of flats, but it's not exactly what you're looking for. It's a bit of a mixed bag, with some renovated neighborhoods and new constructions. Park Bródnowski is worth checking out, though.

No, Brodno and Chodecka don't have the same aesthetic as what you're looking for. However, you can try checking out Stegny/Sadyba for 1970s-style architecture or Ursynów for a mix of 1980s and postmodern styles.
