What are the best neighborhoods for nightlife in Mexico City?

I'm planning a trip in March with my two nephews and niece, aged 19-22, who want to explore the nightlife. They'll be accompanied by their 51-year-old aunt. I'm well-traveled and have done solo travel before, but they're just starting to get their passport stamps. I speak some Spanish and my niece is proficient. I'd like to know the best neighborhoods for them to stay and safely explore at night, as well as some nightlife recommendations suitable for college kids and their aunt.

I was initially surprised by the number of family members you mentioned, but in reality, Condesa and Roma Norte are ideal areas for nightlife. However, if you're looking for a more central location that's suitable for both daytime and nighttime activities, consider Juarez or Cuauhtémoc streets.

I wouldn't survive that either, I'm glad it's just the three of them.

Hotel Andaz, Hotel Brick (Roma) are good options, and you could also consider Casa San Jacinto, Krystal Grand Insurgentes in Coyoacan or San Angel, or even Six Flags or Chapultepec Park for some nightlife.

Hotel Brick looks great, but I wish I could use my points to stay there.

For a unique experience, take your group to Tepito, where you can enjoy micheladas with the locals. Mr Duck is a popular spot, but you might also want to try the nearby street food vendors, which serve delicious tacos de lengua.
