Free Eye Prosthetics in Cancún: A Lifeline for Those in Need
Starting October 14th, residents and visitors in Cancún can get free eye prosthetics through a program organized by the DIF Benito Juárez. These prosthetics, which can cost up to 30,000 pesos, will be provided to those who have lost their eyes due to various reasons, helping to improve their quality of life and self-esteem.

The DIF will conduct evaluations at their clinic in the Supermanzana 94 area from 8 AM. Specialists from the UNAM and Autonomous University of Campeche will handle the prosthetic creation and fitting over the following days. The program is open to anyone with a valid referral, so make sure to bring comfortable clothes, food, and any necessary medications.
Don’t miss this opportunity to support a good cause and help those in need in Cancún. For more information or to schedule an evaluation, contact the DIF through their official channels.
This program is a significant step forward for those facing vision loss in Cancún, offering a practical solution that can greatly enhance the lives of those affected. As a fellow expat, I encourage everyone to take advantage of this offer and support the community in a meaningful way.
