Warm Up Calgary: Donate Winter Gear and Win Grey Cup Festival Prizes

Winter is just around the corner, and if you’re like many expats and digital nomads living in Calgary, you might have some extra winter clothing you no longer need. ATCO Energy is offering a chance to give back to the community while potentially winning some exciting prizes.

The Warm Up Calgary campaign invites you to donate gently used winter clothing and gear to Calgary individuals and families in need. ATCO Energy is partnering with WINS, and all you need to do is drop off your items at one of three convenient locations. The donation hours are as follows:

• ATCO Park North Entrance: Oct. 15-16, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• CF Chinook Centre South Court (near Indigo): Oct. 16-17, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Oct. 18, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Calgary Stampeders East Fan Zone at McMahon Stadium: Oct. 17, 3 to 5 p.m.

In addition to the chance to warm up some Calgary residents, you can also enter to win one of three Ultimate Grey Cup Festival Experience Prize Packs for Two. These packages include access to multiple festival events, and the excitement is building as Calgary prepares to host the big game for its 2026 iteration.

ATCO Energy is a partner of the 2026 Grey Cup Festival and will host an ATCO Energy Warming Zone located in Lot 3 of Stampede Park from Nov. 11 to 14. The zone will feature firepits, comfortable seating, games and activities, and special guest appearances, making it the perfect place to warm up, connect with fellow festival-goers, and enjoy the outdoor festivities.

So, round up your gently used winter clothing and gear, and head down to a Warm Up Calgary collection location. Not only will you be helping those in need, but you might just win some fantastic Grey Cup Festival prizes! It’s a win-win situation for Calgary residents and visitors alike.
