Calgary’s Badlands LightFest: A Spectacular Fireworks Show This November
Hey Calgary expats and digital nomads! If you’re looking for something spectacular to do this fall, mark your calendars for the Badlands LightFest on November 14, 2026. It’s a big event, and I couldn't resist sharing the details.

What to expect: This annual event at the Badlands Amphitheatre in Drumheller features a pyromusical show, with fireworks choreographed to music. Before the show, there will be live performances by Jacquie Daniels and her band, as well as Indigenous performances. You can also enjoy complimentary hot chocolate and cookies to keep you warm.
Where to go: The Badlands Amphitheatre is located in Drumheller, about a 90-minute drive northeast of Calgary. It's a short trip, but be prepared for a bit of a drive from Calgary.
When to go: The event kicks off at 6 p.m. with live entertainment starting at 6:30 p.m. and the fireworks show starting at 7:30 p.m. It’s a cozy evening, with seating on a first-come, first-served basis, so arrive early if you want a good spot.
How much it costs: Tickets are $17 for adults, $12 for youth ages 10 to 17, and $7 for youth ages 3 to 9. Parking passes cost $8 per vehicle when purchased in advance or $10 at the gate. Space at the Studio Aurora Bar is limited, so it's best to reserve your spot in advance.
So, if you’re not quite ready to say goodbye to outdoor events, head down to the Badlands LightFest for a night of color and music in November.
