I've been noticing that every package I order from overseas is getting hit with import taxes, customs, and other fees. I've never experienced this before, and it's becoming a real headache. Is this a new policy or something?

I bought a set of sheets that cost $34, but the real shock was the $38 in shipping and import fees that added to the bill. The shipping itself was a bargain, but the tariff was a nasty surprise.

The removal of the 1,000 baht exemption seems to have caused a delay in implementing the new system. It's taken some time for the authorities to get the necessary manpower and processes in place to handle the workload.

I've been lucky so far with Lazada purchases, but I'm waiting to see how an Ebay purchase will be handled. I've tried to buy a guitar synth cable from Lazada multiple times, but it's always been out of stock. I'm not sure what to expect with import fees and other charges.
