Received parking fine in Abu Dhabi after paying parking fee?

I recently received a parking fine for supposedly not paying the parking fee, but I actually parked the car and paid the parking fee on time. I made a mistake while selecting the plate category, choosing Red instead of Red Category 20.

I've heard that earlier Mawaqif was cooperative in dropping fines in cases like this, but I'm not sure if that's still the case. You should try contacting them to see if they'll help you out.

I don't think you have a leg to stand on here. You made the mistake, so you should just pay the fine and be done with it.

I've been in your shoes before and tried to contest the fine at the Mawaqif office, but they just told me it was my fault and I had to pay up. In the end, I just paid the fine and moved on.
