I'll be traveling to Mexico City next week and was originally planning to do a hot air balloon tour at Teotihuacan, but the weather forecast looks cloudy. Is it still worth it on a cloudy day, or will visibility be poor?

Cloudy days offer a gentler atmosphere, making it easier to appreciate the scenery.

Even on cloudy days, it's essential to apply sunscreen, as I learned on my recent visit when I got a bit too much sun despite the overcast sky.

Did you find the experience worthwhile? If so, what about the breakfast in the cave - would you recommend it?

I booked a tour that included a round-trip transfer, hot air balloon ride, and breakfast at a nearby cave, which cost approximately $260 Canadian dollars.

I visited the site recently and, although I didn't take a hot air balloon ride, the cloudy weather made it more comfortable to explore. The nearby Teotihuacán ruins were a highlight, especially since the sun broke through the clouds for a brief moment, making it a memorable experience.

I'm glad you found this helpful in visualizing the experience. As for the city's weather, I've noticed that it can be quite unpredictable, so it's always a good idea to pack layers and be prepared for changing conditions.

Walking around the Teotihuacán site on the ground is an incredible way to experience its grandeur and history.
