Fair price range for prebooked airport to Ubud transport?

Trasporti 5g fa 7 answers • Andrea Ferrari

I've got two friends coming to visit and I want to make sure they get a good deal on airport transport. They'll have one large and two small backpacks, and their flight arrives at 10pm. Can anyone recommend a reliable and fair service?

If you booked your stay through Booking.com, you can use their transportation service. If not, consider pre-booking a ride through Grab. Keep in mind that pre-booking will likely cost twice as much as booking directly. I recently took a 2.5 hour trip from Ubud to Uluwatu with Bluebird, which cost 500,000 IDR due to traffic.

The booking fee on Booking.com is around 650,000 IDR, but I was quoted 500,000 IDR by another provider, which seems more in line with the standard rate.

Prices between 400,000 IDR and 500,000 IDR seem reasonable, and in my home country, I'd expect to pay around 100 euros for a similar service.

You can use the Klook App for transportation. I paid 252,000 IDR for a ride from the airport to Ubud a couple of weeks ago. The Klook office is conveniently located just outside the terminal. If you have a working SIM and WhatsApp, your driver will message you to keep you updated on your progress through immigration, customs, and luggage collection.

Just use the gojek app, it's half the price

Ride-hailing services like Grab and Gojek are usually available. Alternatively, you can use the BlueBird Taxi app.

If you walk away from the airport and book a Grab ride from a random street, you can avoid airport tariffs and save money. I took a ride from the airport to Ubud for 180,000 IDR late at night, and I've had prices as low as 280,000 IDR and as high as 400,000 IDR in the opposite direction.
