I'm trying to decipher a Khmer inscription on a pendant my father gave me, and I've already tried searching online with no luck. I'm hoping someone local might be able to help me understand what it says.

The sign appears to be a collection of unfamiliar letters and symbols, including ព, ន, and មពធត. It's possible that it's an abbreviation, but I'm not aware of its meaning.

I've seen this kind of script before, but it doesn't look like a word or a name I know. Maybe it's an abbreviation that had meaning for whoever put it there.

I think I can help you with this. These are Pali words, and they're often used for protection. Maybe an old monk at a temple could explain the meaning to you.

I've seen this inscription before, and it looks like the Five Syllabus of the Buddha. However, the writing isn't very clear, and it could also be Na Mo Bud Da Ya, which is similar.
