Tuineje Celebrates Historic Pirate Battles with Cultural Events

The historic pirate battles of El Cuchillete and Llano del Florido, which took place 286 years ago, have been commemorated in Tuineje with a series of cultural events organized by the association Más Ruines que Caín, the Banda de San Miguel band, and a newly formed association of women called La Balanza. The festivities will take place from September 25 to October 18.

Organizers of the fiestas juradas de Tuineje presented the program of acts and historical representations of the significant historical event to the public on Wednesday. These events highlight the victory of the majoreros over the pirates.
