Why are kids playing at the Zazil-ha football field all night?

I live near the Avenida 20 football field and I've noticed the football field is open all night. The kids are there at 4-5am and the field lights are on. I'm wondering why parents let their kids go there instead of sleeping at home.

The lights in Playa del Carmen are typically turned off around 11pm.
