What's causing my allergies this time of year in Phoenix?

I've been experiencing severe allergies in Phoenix for the past month, despite decent air quality reports. My roommates and I all have seasonal allergies, and everyone I know with allergies has been severely affected. I'm wondering if it could be dust from dust storms, mold spores from the rain, or an unreported type of weed or tree pollen.

The recent monsoon rain has led to an explosion of plant growth, particularly in areas with Bermuda grass. In my neighborhood, the flowering trees that typically remain dormant until Spring are now in full bloom.

Allergies can vary greatly from person to person, and certain plants, such as sages, tend to bloom at this time of year. Interestingly, the dry climate here doesn't allow for mold growth, which is a common allergen.

As a native, I've never experienced headaches due to allergies before, but this season has been particularly challenging. The combination of pollen from various plants, including flowering trees and grasses, has been overwhelming.
Pollen seems to trigger my allergies every time I step outside, regardless of the season or weather conditions.

Resources like the local botanical garden on 24th Street and the nearby park have been helpful in understanding the types of allergens present in the area. Specifically, common allergens like ragweed, chenopods, and sagebrush are prevalent during this time.
