County officials are urging residents and visitors to take extra precautions to prevent mosquito bites, which are the primary vector for the disease. The alert highlights the importance of using mosquito repellent, wearing long-sleeved clothing, and eliminating standing water around your home to reduce mosquito breeding sites.
