I'm a teen from England and it's fascinating to think of the differences in lifestyle. I'm sure shows like Gossip Girl are unrealistic.

The student body is large and diverse, making it difficult to establish a sense of superiority. With over 4,000 students, cliques are virtually nonexistent. You might have thought you were the center of your small group, but there were always many others who wouldn't be intimidated.

I attended private schools on Manhattan's Upper East Side, where parental supervision was often lax. On weekends, we'd host parties at townhouses where the owners were away. One of my friends' parents and brothers relocated to Philadelphia, leaving him behind in a townhouse for an entire year, a situation that now seems regrettable, but we did have some unforgettable parties there.
