I'm going through a serious burnout and my body is starting to show it physically. Symptoms include chest tightness, heart palpitations, left arm pain, ear ringing, extreme fatigue, and some depressive episodes. I called 811 and they said stress-related but to follow up with a doctor urgently. My family doctor has no availability until November. I can't wait that long.

I've visited a private clinic twice, but it didn't help. Each time, I paid around 200 dollars. The first time, they suggested blood tests, which cost around 400 dollars. The second time, I was referred to another doctor, but I couldn't get an appointment. I ended up waiting for my issue to resolve on its own, which is a common approach in Quebec.

To manage symptoms, try to get plenty of rest and limit caffeine, beer, and other substances. A private doctor might prescribe a sedative like valium for quick relief, but this issue is more complex, so it's best to consult a regular doctor.
