Is it worth a day trip to just walk the city?

We have a group of 6 friends going to Cancun in a few weeks. Is it worth a trip to go to the island to just walk around for a few hours, go to the shops, restaurants, etc? We aren't looking to do the snorkeling, so wasn't sure if it was worth a trip without that.

I visited Isla Mujeres once, staying for 5 days. The atmosphere is more relaxed after the day trippers depart. The island is 4 miles long and narrow, stretching from one end to the other. In contrast, Punta Sur is a quieter and less crowded area than Centro. However, to get there from the ferry, you'll need to take a golf cart or taxi.

When traveling to Isla Mujeres, it's essential to know which ferry to take, especially if you don't speak much Spanish. There are multiple ferries available, so it's crucial to plan ahead and choose the right one.

I've discovered that Isla Mujeres is a wonderful destination. After visiting Cancun years ago, I now prefer to stay on the island. The island's laid-back vibe is a major draw for me.

Taking the bus to the ferry is a great way to get to Isla Mujeres. We experienced this firsthand in January. The island's scenic views and tranquil atmosphere make it a perfect getaway.
