Is Ba Na Hills really a “plastic Disneyland,” or is that criticism unfair?

I've been thinking about visiting Ba Na Hills in Da Nang, but I've heard mixed reviews. Some people say it's a must-do, while others claim it's a tacky theme park. I'm wondering if the criticism is unfair, or if there's some truth to it.

We visited a theme park in the hills of Da Nang, and it was a straightforward experience. We enjoyed our time there, possibly because we're familiar with the local culture.

It's a plastic Disneyland, but if you know what to expect, you can still have fun. It's not a world-class heritage site, but it's a nice place to visit if you're in Da Nang.

The freedom to walk around comfortably without traffic was a major plus for us. I wonder if that's more important than the French Village or other attractions in the area.

If you care about photography or want a calm experience, timing matters a lot. I use an app to edit out the crowd, but I think the 'atmosphere' is what really matters.

The park is a budget-friendly destination that caters mostly to families with young children. It's not meant to be a sophisticated attraction, but rather a place for some lighthearted fun.
