I've seen one driving around Little Village and I'm worried about how it will handle snow and salt piles.

I can envision autonomous vehicles getting stuck in snow and salt piles, unable to move forward. They might mistake a snowbank for a pedestrian trying to cross the road.

It's rare for autonomous vehicles to malfunction, but when they do, it's usually a minor issue that's resolved quickly. I assume they'd shut down temporarily if a problem arose.

In my experience, autonomous vehicles tend to stay indoors during harsh weather conditions. For instance, when Austin received a light dusting of snow last winter, the vehicles were put away for the day.
