What can be done about excessive incense burning in an apartment building?

I came home to find small signs posted on neighbors' doors, as well as closed, hallway fire doors, asking people to cut out the excessive burning of incense in their apartment. I'm assuming that it would have to be outlined in a tenant's lease. We're RS and I'm pretty sure that I know which neighbor put up the small signs and they're RS as well.

You can express your feelings and opinions clearly to the tenant, and then learn to live with the results in your shared space. This approach may help you avoid unnecessary conflict.

Installing a door sweep below your entrance and asking your neighbor to do the same might be a good solution. You could also consider purchasing an air purifier with a carbon filter to help eliminate odors.

Management may not always be helpful with issues like this, but the door sweep idea is a clever one. If that doesn't work, an air purifier with a carbon filter near your front door could be effective in eliminating smells.

You're asking your neighbor for a favor, but they enjoy using incense, which you don't. This is similar to asking a neighbor who enjoys barbecuing to stop doing so.

Unless you suspect a serious issue like gas, a fire, or human waste, hallway smells are generally not a high priority. It's essential to consider whether this is something worth getting involved in.

This issue isn't something I'm willing to take on. Please re-read the original post.

If you're concerned about the smell, it's best to let your neighbor handle the issue. They've already taken steps to address the problem, such as posting signs.
