I'm visiting LA for a week in October and staying in North Hollywood with a car. I'm open to exploring, but would love some suggestions for restaurants, places to hike, museums, beaches, dispensaries, and overall just places to experience.

If you're looking for a relaxing spot to read or unwind, consider visiting Zuma Beach, Point Dume, or Leo Carrillo Beach. These beaches offer a peaceful atmosphere and stunning ocean views. For art lovers, The Broad and The Getty Villa are must-visit attractions, and they offer free admission with a reservation. On the other hand, the Hollywood/Highland area is a popular tourist destination that can be quite crowded.

If you're looking for a shorter hike, Solstice Canyon is a great option, with trails ranging from 3-5 miles. Another nearby hike is the short trail up to Mt. Hollywood, which starts from Griffith Observatory. The sign for the trail is located on Mt. Lee, so it's not the famous Hollywood sign hike. Los Angeles has a wealth of museums to explore, including the Museum of Narrative Arts, LACMA, the Getty, the Getty Villa, The Broad, and the Museum of Jurassic Technology. It really depends on your interests!
