Fireworks on a School Night??

I'm an electrician who lives in Calgary and I'm wondering if fireworks are allowed on school nights, and if so, what kind of permits are required. I've heard them going off in Millrise tonight and it's disturbing the kids.

I'm hoping the city will take a stricter approach to enforcing the rules this year.

I'm tired of the city only issuing fines after they've educated people about the rules. I wish they'd take a more proactive approach.

It's actually against the law to set off fireworks in the city without a permit from the city authorities.
