I'm planning a trip to Playa del Carmen with my family and we're getting different info from multiple sources about the hurricane. We're flying from Houston this weekend.

I'm flying from St. Louis tomorrow morning and our flight path typically takes us directly over New Orleans and then on to Cancun. Given the storm's projected path, it should be far enough east to avoid impacting the Yucatán's east coast, where Playa del Carmen is located.

It's possible that you might be closer to the storm in Houston than you would be in Playa del Carmen, considering their respective locations.
