Can I fit a hot air balloon ride before a 6 pm train?

We're planning a trip to Laos and have a tight schedule. We've booked a hot air balloon ride at 5:30 am, but we're worried about making it to the 6 pm train to Bangkok that same day. We need to get from Vang Vieng to Vientiane first, and we're not sure if we have enough time.

We had a great experience with the hot air balloon trip, which only takes less than an hour to complete.

When traveling by train, be aware that the two stations in Luang Prabang are about 10 km apart, so make sure to get to the correct one.

It's definitely possible to take a hot air balloon ride and still catch your train, but I ended up returning to my hotel around 11 am after the ride, which included breakfast, champagne, and dropping off other passengers.
