The first Festival de Papalotes 'Vamos a Volar, Vida Marina' in Playa Sol, Puerto Morelos, was a colorful and engaging event that combined creativity, physical activity, and environmental awareness. Families and visitors participated in activities ranging from a papalote design competition to a recreational and sporting rally, fostering a sense of community and respect for nature.

One of the standout activities was the concurso de papalotes, where participants, using recyclable materials, created designs inspired by marine life. The event not only provided entertainment but also encouraged sustainability through the use of eco-friendly materials. The first-place winner, Gabriel Iván Ceballos Crespo, took home a prize of 1,500 pesos for his 'Pulpo Rojo' design.
