I've been wanting to bring my parents and sister to Thailand for a luxury vacation, but the prices for villas in Koh Samui are jaw-dropping, with some going over 100,000 baht per night. I'm wondering if anyone is actually paying these prices or if it's just the 'white lotus effect'.

I stayed at a 3 bedroom villa in Bophut, near Fisherman's Village, for around $280 USD per night. It had a private pool and each bedroom had its own bathroom. The resorts in Koh Samui can be quite pricey, but there are options available for a more reasonable budget.

Yes, people can afford to spend a lot on luxury items every day. It's not just Koh Samui, it's a global phenomenon.

The Four Seasons in Koh Samui has always been a high-end resort, and the prices reflect that. If you're looking for a more affordable option, there are plenty of other resorts and villas available on the island.

Business class flights and luxury accommodations are often the norm for high-end travelers. It's not surprising to see prices like this in Koh Samui.

Yes, some people do pay these prices without hesitation, especially during peak season or for special occasions.

Actually, the prices mentioned are for the rainy low season, not the peak season.
