What happens when your DTV visa is up in 2 years and you can't get a new one? Or if they change the rules and DTV gets revoked? You'll own a condo you can't even live in, apart from all the other downsides.

I'd prefer to secure a long-term visa before making a purchase. The DTV is a temporary visa, and it's unwise to invest in a country where you might face difficulties entering in the future.

It's essential to obtain a more permanent visa before making a purchase. Unfortunately, Thailand doesn't offer a straightforward permanent visa option. Instead, you can opt for a Long-Term Retirement visa, an Elite visa, or a work permit, but these still come with time constraints. To be eligible for a permanent residence visa or Thai citizenship, you typically need to work for a Thai employer first.
