THE 60 PLUS COMMUNITY - Cancun

If you are 60 years of age or older, please consider joining us for our third monthly informational/social meeting! The meeting originally scheduled for Thursday, December 11 has now been moved to Thursday, January 8, 2026, starting at 6:00 PM. The focus will be on health care in Cancun. Note the change of date! (Illness among the presenters forced a change of plans) About The 60+ Community: This group was created to serve the needs of those who are aging in place in Cancun. All programming is planned with that in mind, addressing issues of isolation, loss of capacity over time, and the need for support from others experiencing the life changes that come with growing older. Meeting Agenda for January 8: • Social/get acquainted time • Brief presentations on Mexican nonprofit and governmental health care providers, including IMSS and others • Overview of how Canadian National Health Services and Medicare Advantage could work for you if spending significant time abroad and need emergency care • Opportunity to socialize and share experiences with health care in Cancun • Breakout sessions to organize activities suggested by participants at the November 13 general meeting Before we meet again, think about what you might enjoy doing from the list created by participants!
