My plant died but the borrowed cart is doing well
Nathan · Kensington Market, Toronto · Oct 4
I bought a very big plant at Kensington Market on Saturday afternoon and then realised I had no way to get it home across the city. A man at the next stall offered me a wheeled cart for the afternoon and asked me to bring it back by six. I did. He had waited. I will never know why he trusted me with a cart that was probably worth more than the plant. The plant has died. The cart is, I assume, thriving. I think of that man as a better steward.
