You can withdraw as needed, since there are plenty of ATMs available.

I think 2000 pesos is a reasonable budget for a week. However, if you plan to dine at high-end restaurants, you may want to double that amount.

Is 2000 pesos a daily or weekly budget?

My wife and I spent around 1000 pesos for the week on street food and small restaurants during our last trip. However, this amount did not include her massage or my daily visits to OXXO. If you have a good travel credit card, it's best to use that for most transactions.

As a solo traveler, you can easily get by on 40 US dollars a day for meals, drinks, and snacks. You can then add extra money for activities like shopping or renting a surfboard. Sayulita has plenty of ATMs, and the cash scarcity issue that was present last summer is no longer a significant problem.
