I'm trying to get food stamps for my partner and our three kids who live with me and my father in Santurce. We have no income since he's not working, and I'm not sure what to expect or what documents we'll need to provide.

It's horrible applying, but you'll need to provide proof of income, which will be a problem since you have no job. They'll also likely do a home visit to verify that you're living with your father and the kids, and they'll probably require you to set up child support.

I meant to say I'm living with my father and my three kids, not that we're living alone.

To apply for food stamps, go in person and bring proof of income, such as three months of bank statements, a light or water bill as proof of address, a copy of your license and social security card, and probably a copy of the birth certificates for the kids.
