Acámbaro Launches Free Rabies Vaccination Campaign for Pets

Starting this month, pet owners in Acámbaro can take advantage of a new initiative: free rabies vaccinations for dogs and cats, regardless of their age. The campaign aims to improve public health by preventing the spread of rabies, a potentially fatal disease that can affect both animals and humans. This move reflects a broader effort to enhance the overall health and safety of the community.

According to Jorge Jiménez Lona, a local official, pet owners can bring their dogs and cats to designated vaccination points in the municipality. The initiative is part of a nationwide effort to control rabies, which is particularly significant in areas with a high population of stray animals.

For expats and digital nomads living in or visiting San Miguel de Allende, this news means that you can now easily ensure your pets are protected against rabies without incurring additional costs. Make sure to take advantage of this opportunity and keep your furry friends safe from this dangerous disease.
