Why is the music stage audio for CIBC Run for the Cure so loud?

I'm visiting family and can hear it all the way into Canyon Meadows. I'm from out of town, but I'm sure the noise carries far. Maybe Calgary has different noise bylaws?

I woke up to the commotion too. I support the cause, but 7:00 am is a bit early. I'm in a neighborhood near the event and can hear the woman's voice loud and clear.
