I was driving through the Venetian and saw a Lamborghini in a photo shoot that looked like a real cop car, but with Vice Beach Police on the side and back. Is that legal?

They've been doing a lot of photo shoots with in-game cars in Miami, including at Marine Stadium. I wouldn't be surprised to see them at other photogenic locations. However, usually blue or red lights on a car or other Police identifiers are illegal because it can be seen as impersonating a law enforcement officer.

It's clear that the photo shoots are not ordinary, given the presence of police escorts driving around the city. One would expect the organizers to have obtained proper permits for their activities.

I witnessed the cars in person while they were filming at Rickenbacker Causeway. They were accompanied by a police escort, and I've been informed that they have secured permission from the city to use custom liveries and license plates.

I'm curious about the schedule for these events; I'd love to catch a glimpse of the cars and learn more about the filming process.

It appears that permission can be obtained when the necessary fees are paid.
