I was listening to this song and it mentions a 'bola de fuego' in Calidonia, and I'm curious to know what actually happened.

The song is referring to the helicopter that crashed in an old warehouse in Calidonia, which was carrying the director of the Chilean Carabineros. I remember seeing the news footage of the crash, it was a huge ball of flames.

I think you're too young to remember this, but in 2008 a helicopter crashed in Calidonia and hit the old Banana Price warehouse. The footage from security cameras showed a massive fireball. The helicopter was carrying members of the Chilean Carabineros and some Panamanian police officers.
