Dealing with unwanted buzzer ringing at night?

I live in Little Italy with my two kids and we've been experiencing frequent morning buzzers at 5am. We've tried not responding, but it's becoming stressful and I'm not sure what to do. I've changed apartments recently and the new buzzer system is different from our old one, which made it easier to ignore unwanted visitors.

I've experienced something similar in my neighborhood, where people ring every buzzer down the street every other day, at all hours of the day and night, hoping someone will let them in so they can steal something. They do this at 3am or 5am too.

I've ended up disconnecting my buzzer altogether.

I've also experienced this problem, and I think it's often people who have forgotten their keys or are waiting for a delivery. If the doors are secure, they can't get in unless someone opens the door for them. I don't answer the buzzer, but it's very annoying and disturbing.
