I'm looking after a friend's 7-year-old and want to get her some reading for the weekend.

You should call the stores directly to confirm their hours.

Montreal's little free libraries are always accessible, providing a convenient option for book lovers. Many of these libraries are located near schools, which often have an impressive collection of children's books.

Since shopping centers are open, Indigo, Renaud-Bray, and other bookstores will likely be open too.

Thanksgiving isn't a major holiday in Montreal, so you can expect most businesses to remain open on that day. In fact, many restaurants and cafes are known to offer special deals and promotions during this time.
